Moving Office

If you are looking to relocate your business you might not have thought about moving to Derby. You might not know that it has been a city since 1977 or that it was instrumental in the Industrial Revolution. What do you think of when you hear Derby? A type of hat? A race? Competition between rival teams? Or a city of 250,000 people nestled to the south of the Peak District that offers fantastic transport links and a prime location to site your business?

Derby is a vibrant and thriving city with a long and distinguished engineering heritage. It is on the mainline rail network giving it direct, fast and frequent connections to both London and Edinburgh as well as cities in the Northern Powerhouse. There is an international airport, East Midlands, only 12 miles away and you only need to drive 9 miles before you reach the M1 which enables you to reach almost anywhere in the country smoothly and safely.

Plenty for after-hours

Whether your employees want to be able to visit the theatre, see the latest films at the cinema, indulge in some shopping or walk for miles on empty hillsides Derby is the perfect location. Alongside it’s deserved place in history for its engineering prowess – a legacy it still boasts – Derby was also the first place to have a public park, Derby Arboretum, which was opened in 1840 partly to improve the leisure prospects for factory workers.  Even if you are just looking for office space, Derby knows that play is as important to your employees as work is.

Lush, landscaped grounds

And here at RTC we also recognise that having a nice place to work is important. We have 28 acres of landscaped grounds to play with and can offer a breath of fresh air with our courtyard gardens. Grounds maintenance is included in the service charge, along with 24-hour manned security.

No empty stomachs here either!

The business park is home to a recently renovated restaurant that offers cooked breakfasts and lunches throughout the day. They also run a twice-daily sandwich trolley to the office blocks so there’s not excuse for poor performance due to not getting a chance to eat! And having our own catering facilities means it’s very easy for us to provide catering for meetings and conferences – simply talk to the friendly facilities management team to see what they can offer.
